Dr. Michelle Thompson is the founder of ACL Academy, where she helps competitive cornhole players build confidence, focus, and consistency on and off the boards. With a PhD in Psychology and years of experience studying performance, community, and connection in the cornhole world, Michelle blends science-based mindset training with practical, game-day tools that players can actually use.
Michelle leads monthly Q&A/Coaching calls for all Training Club & Performance Lab members.
Spencer Fabionar
Spencer Fabionar is a Northern California ACL Pro known for his creative trick shots, smooth throwing style, and ability to bring energy to any court. While he’s earned a reputation as one of the most inventive shot-makers in the league, Spencer pairs that creativity with solid fundamentals and strong in-game decision-making. Inside ACL Academy, he helps players build a reliable throw, understand when to take smart risks, and develop the confidence to expand their shot selection with purpose.
Spencer will be leading us January, April, July, and October.

AJ Sims
AJ Sims, a professional cornhole player from Caldwell, Texas, has been competing in the American Cornhole League since 2018. Known for his consistency, sharp strategy, and infectious energy, AJ leads with both skill and charisma on and off the boards. As the leader of the Texas Bully Baggers, he brings deep insight into teamwork, communication, and competitive focus. At ACL Academy, AJ helps players refine their shot selection, develop strong doubles chemistry, and compete with confidence every time they step up to the boards.
AJ will be leading us February, May, August, and November.

Dave Morse
Dave Morse is a day-one ACL Pro who has been part of the league since it launched. With a reputation for consistency, composure, and smart strategy, Dave has competed on the sport’s biggest stages while always staying grounded in the fundamentals.
Beyond competition, he is a builder of the game, running leagues, welcoming newcomers, and helping countless players find confidence on the boards. At ACL Academy, Dave brings a clear, practical coaching style that turns small mechanics into meaningful improvements.
