Dr. Michelle Thompson is the founder of ACL Academy, where she helps competitive cornhole players build confidence, focus, and consistency on and off the boards. With a PhD in Psychology and years of experience studying performance, community, and connection in the cornhole world, Michelle blends science-based mindset training with practical, game-day tools that players can actually use.
Michelle leads monthly Q&A/Coaching calls for all Training Club & Performance Lab members.
Ethan Walker
Ethan Walker is one of the American Cornhole League’s rising stars, known for his precision, composure, and rapid rise through the pro ranks. Turning professional in 2022, he quickly made his mark with multiple Open titles and standout performances on the national stage. A student of consistency and focus, Ethan brings a grounded, analytical approach to the game that players at every level can learn from. At ACL Academy, he shares the habits and techniques that help him perform under pressure and stay locked in every throw.
Ethan will be leading us January, April, July, and October.
AJ Sims
AJ Sims, a professional cornhole player from Caldwell, Texas, has been competing in the American Cornhole League since 2018. Known for his consistency, sharp strategy, and infectious energy, AJ leads with both skill and charisma on and off the boards. As the leader of the Texas Bully Baggers, he brings deep insight into teamwork, communication, and competitive focus. At ACL Academy, AJ helps players refine their shot selection, develop strong doubles chemistry, and compete with confidence every time they step up to the boards.
AJ will be leading us February, May, August, and November.
Matt Wilson
Matt “ The Janitor ” Wilson brings precision and control to the boards as an elite competitor in the American Cornhole League. Hailing from Rock Hill, South Carolina, he earned his pro status and quickly made a name for himself by cleaning up at high-stakes events. Known for his standout shot-selection and ability to neutralize his opponent’s momentum, Matt teaches advanced tactics for rolling, blocking and clutch finishes. At ACL Academy, he guides players to sharpen their competitive edge and master the subtle techniques that win tournaments.
Matt will be leading us March, June, September, and December.
